HiLo Homestead is an artist sanctuary crafted over the past decade by its artist/designer owners. A home of many facets, It's a creative playground, a 5 acre oasis of artistic expression, and an experiment in low impact living, permaculture design, and regenerative practices. The inner courtyard is the hub of the property serving as an outdoor extension of the home. The CalEarth constructed Terrace walls wrap the sunken Kiva & conversation pit blending into the wood fired pizza oven, cowboy tub, garden beds, and cactus garden. A fully automated watering system, and rainwater design irrigate the gardens and trees. The humble, yet cozy interior of the home has been hand-hewn by the artists with every cabinet, shelf and fixture custom designed & built. Structures Beyond the homestead include a greenhouse/bathhouse with a claw foot tub, A washhouse for laundry, 5 vintage travel trailers for guests, an outdoor shower, & composting toilet, and two thoughtfully built chicken & animal pens.
